attribution: Gunnhilda demanded Egil be slain at once, reminding Eric that Egil had killed his friends, kin, and even his own son

attribution: Arinbjorn asked for a week's respite for Egil to leave, but Gunnhilda warned Eric that Egil would reach Athelstan in that time
"If Egil is to ride hence for a week, then will he in this time be come to king Athelstan."
