Melion is a knight of the British tradition, attested in Le Morte d'Arthur with 2 citations. He appears briefly as a messenger during the search for Sir Launcelot, carrying news between the questing knights and the court.

Melion's role is that of a trusted intermediary. When Launcelot goes missing, Melion "departed from them, and said that he would tell the king, and the queen, and all the fellowship of the Round Table" what Sir Bors had reported about Launcelot's whereabouts (Le Morte d'Arthur, Book XI, Ch. X). Upon arriving at court, Melion delivers the message faithfully, telling "the king, and the queen, and all the fellowship of the Round Table, what Sir Bors had said of Sir Launcelot" (Le Morte d'Arthur, Book XI, Ch. X).
