Gudruna appears briefly in Njal's Saga in connection with Hrapp. She revealed to Hrapp that she was pregnant by him and warned him that her father Gudbrand would kill him for the deed (Njal's Saga, ch. 86). The disclosure precipitated Hrapp's departure, as the pregnancy made his continued stay with Gudbrand untenable.

Gudruna was a daughter of Gudbrand and became the partner of Hrapp, by whom she conceived a child (Njal's Saga, ch. 86).
