Bruide Mac Bile was king of the Northern Picts who, in 682, brought the Orkney Islands back under Pictish control. The Orkneyinga Saga records that "the Orkneys were wasted by Bruide Mac Bile" in that year, an act that reasserted Northern Pictish authority over the islands (The Orkneyinga Saga, I. Earliest Historical Notices of the Orkneys). This episode marks one of the earliest datable events in the political history of the Orkneys as recorded in Norse saga tradition.

Bruide Mac Bile is associated with Orkney as its conqueror, and with the Picts as their king.
