Armod is a figure in the Icelandic saga tradition, attested in the Laxdaela Saga as a brother-in-law who lived at Thickshaw. He was married to Thorunn, a sister of Gest, and his household at Thickshaw served as a waypoint in the saga's narrative geography (Laxdaela Saga, Chap. XXXIII).

The Laxdaela Saga introduces Armod in passing, noting that a character could "get to Thickshaw in the evening to Armod, his brother-in-law's, who had for wife Thorunn, a sister of Gest's" (Laxdaela Saga, Chap. XXXIII). The mention is functional rather than characterizing -- Armod's household matters as a location within the saga's network of travel and kinship rather than for anything he himself does or says.
